About

Bobby’s English Tack was started in 1880 by Bobby’s great-grandfather in a small mountain town called Shimla. Mr. Sham Lall Srivastav opened a store in the summer capital of the British Government, which was ruling over India at the time. Soon his company “Sham Lall & Sons” was the proud supplier of tack to the British Army. This business was passed on to his son, H.K. Srivastav, who opened a tack factory. After achieving great success in his life he passed the business on to his seven sons, including Bobby’s father, Chander Srivastav.

Chander moved his family to the United States in 1971 and established Bobby’s English Tack, naming the company after his young son. Now in it’s fourth generation, the years of hard work and perseverance have established Bobby’s English Tack as a very well respected and popular brand name across riding disciplines. When you invest in a Bobby’s product, you are becoming part of this rich heritage. Bobby looks forward to carrying on his family legacy and supplying the equestrian community with fine leather tack for many more generations to come.
